Palvo Arie

Born on October 16, 1977 in the city of Lviv. In 1998, he graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Printing in Lviv. He studied at Kyiv University for years, majoring in sociology. He received a diploma in the specialty “economist”, but later decided to try his hand at drama. In 2004 he moved to live and study in Cologne, where he graduated from the university. 2016-2017 artistic director of the Lviv Drama Theater named after Lesya Ukrainka. Among Arye’s works, in addition to his own plays, there are also translations into Ukrainian of dramatic works by foreign playwrights. In particular, Arie translated the Ukrainian play “Blasted” (“Blasted”) by Sarah Kane, and the play “?” of Dmytro Gavrosha. During his studies, he tried himself as an actor, director and playwright.
