By that evening, Una would have answered in the affirmative. After all, she seems to have buried this fifteen-year-old story in her own memory a long time ago: a story that once seemed like paradise, but now, at the mere mention of it, causes burning pain. However, as soon as the past reminds of itself, Una is no longer so steadfast in her decision to stay as far away from temptation as possible.
“Blackbird” by the Scottish playwright David Garrover is about the meeting of a man and a woman who are too strongly bound by feelings, passion, trauma and guilt. In its time, the text has received many accolades and awards, including the Scottish Theater Award and the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play.
