Oleksandr SeredinDirector
Born on March 25, 1960 in the city of Kyiv. He graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (1983) and the Kyiv State Institute of Theater Arts named after I. K. Karpenko-Karyi (course of People’s Artist of Ukraine, professor E. M. Mytnytskyi, 1991).
Since 1988, he worked at the Left Bank Theater. In 1993-1995, he was the main director of our theater.
In 2005, the director was awarded the honorary title “Honored Artist of Ukraine”.
In 2006, 2008, 2012, Oleksiy Lisovets became a laureate of the professional theater award “Kyiv Pectoral” for the plays “Romeo and Juliet” by V. Shakespeare, “Not everything is buttered to a cat” by O. Ostrovsky, “Opiskin. Thomas!” F. Dostoevsky in two nominations: “Best Dramatic Performance”, “Best Director’s Work” (Kyiv, Ukraine). In 2017, the performance “Rope” was awarded by the Expert Council of the 19th International Theater Festival “Melpomene of Tavria” (Kherson, Ukraine) in the nominations “Best Performance on a Large Stage”, “Best Direction” (Honored Artist of Ukraine Oleksiy Lisovets), “Best Female the role of the second plan” (honored artist of Ukraine Svitlana Orlichenko).
The performances of Oleksii Lisovets represented Ukraine at international and all-Ukrainian theater festivals “White Tower” (Brest), “Slavic Theater Meetings” (Bryansk, Chernihiv), Festival of Russian Classics (Gomel), “Spiritual Energy of the Theater” (Vitebsk), ” Meetings in Russia” (St. Petersburg), “Melpomena of Tavria” (Kherson), “Dostoevsky’s Evenings in Kyiv”, “GogolFest” (Kyiv), “Golden Lion” (Lviv), “Crimean Ark” (Simferopol), “Chekhov . Theater. Yalta” (Yalta). “Good Theater-2012” (Energodar), “Dnipro Extravaganza” (Dnipro) and others.
Oleksiy Lisovets is one of the best directors of Ukraine. Director-producer with a pronounced individual style, deep moral content. In terms of the scale of the issues and the quality of acting, his plays fully meet the requirements of a European-level theater.
In addition to theater, Oleksiy Lisovets is involved in film directing.
