At first, nothing seems particularly strange.
There is a subject: Trypillia.
There are experts who know considerably more about it than you do.
There are people who know considerably less, but speak with greater confidence.
There are facts, theories, discoveries and reconstructions. There is even someone who, it seems, should not be here at all.
For a while, it still seems possible to agree on a shared version of what happened here several thousand years ago — and then go our separate ways.
But strange things have a tendency to multiply.
The conversation goes deeper, the theories become more convincing, the questions more personal. And something that should have remained in the past begins to behave as though it has plans of its own for the evening.
“Don’t Part. Trypillia” is a theatrical conference where you may learn something about Trypillia, and something about yourself. Occasionally, the two will turn out to be the same thing.
And then there is one more question to settle: who has been studying whom all this time?
“Don’t Part. Trypillia” is being created with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, together with the team of NGO “Nasha Osnova”, and in strategic partnership with the MHP-Gromadi Charitable Foundation.
