What do you do when the world is falling into fragments?
Where do you find the strength when everything familiar disappears and only the unknown lies ahead?
The Caucasian Chalk Circle at the Left Bank Theatre is a bold, contemporary interpretation of Brecht’s parable about a woman who is not afraid to step toward her fate. On a stage filled with live music, song, and powerful acting energy, two worlds collide: an ardent drive to live and the silence of inner desolation. Which will prevail? The answer, as always, lies in the auditorium.
Brecht asks us:
who can truly be entrusted with the world we are creating?
The production was created in collaboration between creative teams from Ukraine and Sakartvelo, with the support of the Dailes Theatre (Riga, Latvia).
The performance features live music performed by musicians of the Young Music Center.
Live sound. Live action. Live hope.
We invite you to the theatre to encounter a story that continues to resonate today.
